An agent based model for assessing transmission dynamics and health systems burden for COVID-19

<span>Coronavirus disease of 2019 </span><span>(COVID-19) pandemic has caused over <br /> 230 million infections with more than 4 deaths worldwide. Researches have been using various mathematical and simulation techniques to estimate the future trends help policymakers healthcare fraternity. Agent-based models (ABM) could provide accurate projections compartmental that largely used. The present study involves a ABM synthetic population from India analyze effects interventions on spread disease. A model states representing possible progression was developed simulated AnyLogic. results indicated imposing stricter non-pharmaceutical (NPI) lowered peak values infections, proportion critical patients, deceased. Stricter offer larger time window for fraternity enhance preparedness. findings this research act as start-point understand benefits ABM-based projecting infectious diseases analyzing NPI imposed.</span>
